A Tango alternative for supporting creators in India

Want to support a creator you already follow? Here is how direct support in rupees works on Bondin, what the creator keeps, and when they can receive a payout.

Looking for a Tango alternative to support a creator?

You already follow someone whose work you enjoy: a broadcaster, musician, educator or writer. You want to send them money, understand how much they receive, and know how they withdraw it. Those are useful questions to ask when choosing a platform for supporting creators in India.

Bondin is an option for direct support through UPI in rupees. The creator shares a support page, you choose an amount, and the payment contributes to their creator balance after the applicable fee. You can use that link even if you discovered their work somewhere else.

This comparison focuses on that support payment. If you are choosing where to watch or host live broadcasts, evaluate streaming and discovery features separately.

Tango vs Bondin: how creator support works

Tango describes a gifting system where fans send virtual gifts and creators accumulate diamonds that can be redeemed for money. Bondin Support Me lets fans choose a rupee amount on a creator’s support page and pay through UPI, cards or net banking.

For a supporter, the practical comparison is the amount you spend and the amount credited to the creator. For a creator, it also includes the withdrawal method, eligibility and timing. Check both sides before deciding which service fits.

How to support a creator in India with UPI

Start with the support link shared by the creator through their own profile, website or messages. On Bondin, their direct support page uses the address bondin.io/their_username/support.

  • Open the creator’s support page and check that it belongs to the person you intend to support.
  • Choose the amount shown in rupees and add a message if you want to.
  • Select UPI at checkout and complete the payment in your UPI app. Cards and net banking are also available.
  • Check the payment confirmation and keep the payment reference if you need help later.

How much of your support does the creator keep?

Bondin Support Me charges a 5% all-in creator fee, including payment processing. The supporter pays the chosen amount with no extra Support Me buyer fee. There is no monthly subscription or payout fee.

For example, a ₹1,000 support payment contributes ₹950 to the creator balance after the ₹50 Support Me fee, before applicable taxes or withholding, refunds, chargebacks and disputes. Other Bondin earning types use feature-specific rates.

When comparing another platform, check its current purchase and redemption terms. A count of virtual gifts or diamonds alone does not tell you how many rupees the creator will receive.

When does the creator receive the money?

A successful support payment and a payout to the creator’s bank are separate steps. The payment adds to the creator’s earnings; the creator then requests a payout from their available balance after adding a payout account. Their Payouts page shows earnings, holds and payout status.

Bondin payout requests are manually reviewed and processed weekly, and normally complete within 3–5 business days from submission. This timeframe applies to the payout request, rather than starting automatically when a supporter pays.

If a payout needs checking, the creator can contact Bondin with the payout details. A supporter checking a payment should keep their payment reference so support can identify the transaction.

Can you keep following a creator elsewhere?

Yes. A creator can share a Bondin support link alongside the places where they publish or perform, subject to those services’ link-sharing rules. Fans can continue watching the creator where they already follow them and use the support page when they want to contribute.

The same Bondin page can also list digital products, paid articles, sessions and other offers the creator has enabled. Choose a support payment when you want to contribute; choose a specific paid offer when you want the product or service it describes. Sending support alone does not purchase an answer, a call or access to paid content.

Is Bondin the right Tango alternative for you?

If you already know which creator you want to support and prefer paying in rupees through UPI, Bondin gives you a direct support page with published fees and payout terms. If live broadcasts, virtual gifting and discovering streamers are central to your choice, assess those features before moving platforms.

For creators, make the payment path easy to explain: share your support link, tell fans what their contribution supports, and point them to the fee and payout policy. Clear expectations help supporters understand what happens after they pay.
